Thread Lifts
Program Overview
Chellsey Institute of Beauty and Health offers a comprehensive one day course on Thread-Lifts. As Thread-lifts are one of the newest approaches to nonsurgical facial tightening and a type of procedure wherein temporary sutures are used to produce a subtle but visible "lift" in the skin. As we age, there is a natural loss of facial skin thickness and muscle mass in addition to a breakdown of collagen and elastin proteins. It is an easy, fast, in-office procedure. The procedure typically takes about 30 minutes to complete and the patient can quickly go back to their normal activities. There are two main types of thread lift procedures: PDO Threads and PLLA. While the two procedures use the same mechanism, there are some essential differences between them. Polydioxanone (PDO), which is biocompatible material designed to dissolve by your body. Silhouette Insta lift threads are made of Poly-l-lactic, which is also biocompatible material. The threads used in this operation are a bit different as they are interspersed with small cones.
